Custom Effect Development — From Reference to Experiment

About this direction

Custom effect development is where we work outside the standard menu. A brand brings us a reference — a photograph, a vintage piece, a mood board — and we develop a process to produce that result. Or a brand comes with something less defined: an idea, a material experiment, a technique they have seen elsewhere and want to adapt.

We are open to both. At Factory HOT, we work with fashion brands, designers and creative studios on effects that do not exist as off-the-shelf services. Marble effects. Spider web and webbing patterns. Experimental pigment combinations. Mixed technique layering that produces results no single process can achieve alone.

Every custom effect we develop is documented — the process, parameters and materials — so it can be reproduced consistently across future production runs. Your effect becomes a repeatable part of your brand's production identity.

FAQ

FAQ

That is fine. Some of our most interesting work starts from a direction rather than a destination. We treat early-stage briefs as an exploration — testing, showing results, adjusting together.

Usually 1–3 rounds depending on complexity and how defined the brief is. We are transparent about the process from the start.

Yes. Every custom effect is documented so it can be reproduced consistently in future production runs.
